More Doodles

Comments (0) | Oct 26, 2011

Slowly but surely I am getting closer to the new stuff(here's to hoping it will still be fresh by the time I finally do). Kind of a mix; some are older sketches that I have more recently revisited. The page of pen drawings on the bottom right was inspired by the work of John William Waterhouse (the cauldron specifically, from his painting The Danaides (1906)).

More Dragons

Some more doodles with creeper-dragon, this time with his accomplice Taren the Terrible. The top one is part of a picture I already uploaded but I found the version with Taren so decided to add it anyway. I have a whole bunch more but I need to fix them first. On that note, sorry for the poor image quality on the last three. I had to take pictures rather than scan them because they are on a giant piece of watercolor paper.

Dragons! Dragons everywhere!

If it wasn't already obvious, I draw them all over(although my interpretation is very different than the traditional scaly, fire-breathing, flying creatures).
This particular critter I began drawing almost a year ago, and he keeps popping up in my sketchbooks. I've affectionately nick-named him creeper-dragon, or just Creeper for short(just look at that ridiculous stare). I intended to use him in a story-book/comic that I have planned(God knows I have too many of those), and some of the doodles of the other main character will probably go up in the next few days.

Augh! College.

I barely have time to sleep let alone pay attention to this blog. But, I'm starting to get used to the work load and hopefully I can begin to update regularly again. Here are some older sketches; newer stuff coming soon:

Sketches Update, Almost Done

I just have to finish scanning a few more old sketches and then I can get to the recent stuff. Thank you for being patient and sorry for the poor image quality on the second picture.
